IMPORTANT:  There are new options in the US Soccer Learning Center. 
You are only required to complete Phase 1 "Intro to Safety" and "Safe Sport".  Then please link to the Washington Youth Soccer background check in step 3 below.  
Do not use the Background Check link in the US Soccer Learning Center.  It is not the correct background check for WYS coaches.

1.  Go to our registration page and click Enroll to sign up to coach in your selected program:  HERE

2.  Complete two online training modules (Safe Sport and Intro to Safety)

  • Go to the US Soccer Learning Center:  https://learning.ussoccer.com/
  • Create an account, or sign into your previously created account
  • Click "Courses"
  • Click "Available Coaching Courses"
  • Click "Supplemental Courses" (you will see a list of courses)
  • Click "Safe Sport".  Complete this course
  • Return to the "Supplemental Courses" list and click "Intro to Safety".  Complete this course.
  • For first time coaches - Stop here and email me.  I will create an application for you and load your certificates, then send you the correct link to complete the background check.  
  • For returning coaches, proceed to step 3.  ***please make sure to use the link below, NOT the link in the US Soccer Learning Center.  If at anytime you are asked to pay a fee, stop and email me.  Coaches do not pay for their background checks! 

3.  Complete the background check application:  HERE

  •  Click the "Registration" tab in the upper right corner
  •  Sign into your Sports Connect account (or create a new account if you do not already have one)
  •  Select season "Fall 2024-2025"

Your primary club affiliation is Olympia United Soccer Club.  ***Please do not select a secondary and/or third club as all those entities will be charged for your background check***
